Designer Anne Sage Modernizes a Budget-Friendly Kitchen with Awkward Angles
Tasked with revamping a family home in Inglewood, California, in just a matter of weeks, designer Anne Sage took the project in stride. In less than two months, the abode underwent a complete makeover showcasing sleek, organic materials, made possible by fast and convenient ready-to-ship options.
Arguably the most dramatic transformation happened in the kitchen, where the house—typical of 1980s construction—had “weird angles, orange laminate floors and honey pine cabinets,” as well as varying ceiling levels, including an unusual soffit that swept to cathedral heights in the living room. “It created this sense that everything was very jumbled,” Sage says.
