The W.H. Shroyer Nursery space, which has sat on Winton Road for over 50 years, is up for sale.
The one-acre property is listed for $250,000 by Sibcy Cline Realtors and includes nine greenhouses, a storefront and office.
Greg Shroyer, the second-generation owner of the business, said the garden center will remain open until after its Christmas sale of Christmas trees and poinsettias. W.H. Shroyer Nursery also includes a landscaping and lawnmowing business, which will continue to operate.

Shroyer’s father bought the property in 1954 and opened a tree and shrub nursery and landscaping business. In the ’60s and ’70s, it expanded to include greenhouses and flowers.
Shroyer said the property has already had some interested buyers, some of which discussed utilizing the greenhouses for retail use.
“The family has gotten smaller and the economy has changed,” he said. “The garden center itself just wasn’t feasible. So, we’re hoping somebody can reuse the greenhouses and start something new.”
